Jumping Away

I have learned to do a new trick from my kitty Harkle.  He has taught me to jump and hop.  I enjoy it very much.  I just hop and hop with papa at the gardens and everywhere.  I can now do it and stay on my feet, which is great, don't you think?  Thank goodness for my kitty.

This photo was taken today at the Botanical gardens. The color contrast and the light hitting the butterfly makes it such a beautiful composition photo. The butterfly is great for an individual photo and it is beautiful for a little photo.

Butterfly Shadow on Leaf

This is a photo Lance wanted me to take.  It is of the shadow of the butterfly lying on the leaf.  I'm a little too far away for this shot.  There is also the leaf vein that is too much pronounced.

Butterfly on white flowers

These two shots are good, but there is some like of focus.  I wonder if it is the type of flower that is a little too busy for the photo.  I wonder if that confused the camera more.  I think if the camera was a little more stable it would be a great collection.

Orange Butterfly on a White Orchard

These are two photos I took of an Orange Butterfly on a white Orchard.  The focus on the bottom butterfly is a little out of focus.  The color contrast is good, but need to work on being parallel with the subject.  This was taken at the Botanical Gardens in Madison.

Pink Rose in Purple flowers

This is a lovely pink rose with a background of purple flowers.  This is one of my absolute favorites I've taken of the flowers.  I think I love the contrast of the colors and how the rose stands so much out.

Duck on a pond

This photo was taken at the Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI.  This is I believe a Mallard Duck and he is in a small pond.  I've never token photos of ducks before, but thought this was neat.
